The Moontide Period Pants sewing pattern are a low hip style knickers with a standard leg hole opening, with a regular bum coverage.
The Moontide Period pants have been specifically designed to wear when on your period.
They are a great eco alternative to disposable sanitary pads as well as tampons. They can be washed and reused, reducing landfill waste.
This pattern has 6 different options: light flow, regular flow, heavy flow, heavy flow with wings, very heavy flow, very heavy flow with wings.
Sew these from a comfy stretch fabric and the technical fabrics for the absorbent gusset layer and you will have yourself a pair of comfy period pants.

- Main stretch fabric (150 cm/120 cm wide): 0.25 – 0.35 m.
- Absorbent layer (any width): 0.3 m.
- Gusset liner/moisture wicking layer (any width): 0.35 m.
- Waterproof layer (optional, any width): 0.35 m.

Supplies you'll need
- 2.5 m of fold over elastic, 19 – 20 mm wide
- Optional for winged versions only: 2 snap fasteners for jersey fabrics and tool for setting snaps.

- Main Body – chose light to medium weight stretch fabric such as jersey, stretch mesh, stretch lace with recommended maximum stretch 50%
- Absorbent Layer – Absorbent fabrics like Zorb or Terry Towelling
- Moisture Wicking/Gusset Liner Layer – Fabrics that keep you feeling dry like Pro Cool or bamboo fabric
- Waterproof Layer (optional) – PUL fabric
