Sometimes you just need to give a new fabric a squish and a stroke before knowing it’s the right one for your sewing project.
And sometimes you’re looking for the fabrics to inspire, that wildcard print that when you see it IRL makes you think “yes, I must have a floaty dress made in this RIGHT NOW”.
We get you, and that’s why we love having sewists and fabric lovers visit our studio in Wimbledon.

Most days there’s just one of us in the studio, prepping, cutting and packing orders whilst balancing childcare and small business life.
That’s why it is essential to drop us a short email so we can find a time for you to visit, when we can be there to greet you.
If you turn up without an appointment, there’s a good chance that nobody will be here and you’ll head home without all the stitchin’ new fabrics you’ve been dreaming of.

How to find the Good Fabric studio
We’ll be up front, our studio can be a bit of a pickle to locate so you’ll want to read this.
The studio is located on the first floor in Mainyard Studios.
Keep your eyes peeled for a Britannia Cafe. You’ll find the entrance to Mainyard Studios just the left of it. Upon arrival, gives as a ring and we will come down to let you in.
