The Ruffle Brunch Set sewing pattern by Matchy Matchy is a fresh and playful top-and-bottom duo that can be worn as a full outfit or styled separately.
Designed with comfort in mind, the top features a wide scooped neckline, princess seams, and ruffled hems. Lightly puffed sleeves sit just above the elbow and are finished with elastic. The top is slightly cropped and fastens at the front with simple ties.
The bottoms can be sewn as either cropped trousers or shorts. They have a relaxed fit with an elasticated waistband, inseam pockets, and matching ruffles at the hem. Perfect for pyjamas, loungewear, or dressed up with accessories for a more playful daytime look.
Like all Matchy Matchy sewing patterns, the Ruffle Brunch Set sewing pattern uses simple shapes and straightforward construction. It’s designed to keep things fun and approachable, making sewing a joy, not a chore.
Model notes:
Chelsea (short hair) is 5’5″, and Morgan is 5’9″. Both wear a size small. Chelsea’s trousers were sewn with no changes; Morgan’s were lengthened by 3”.
