Daphne maxi dress sewing pattern By Masin was created after Jasmin has finished watching season 2 of the famous Netflix series Bridgerton with its glamorous long Regency dresses.
The Daphne Maxi Dress has a high empire waistline, is fitted over the bust, features short puff sleeves, and a long flowy skirt.
This dress pattern is perfect for pattern hacking, as you can easily exchange the puff sleeves for straps or lengthen the puff sleeve to a ¾ sleeve. It is also very easy to shorten the skirt to a midi or mini length or even to a peplum top if desired. The bustier of the Daphne pattern with a simple gathered skirt would also look gorgeous. The options are endless.

Sewing pattern description
To sew Daphne maxi dress sewing pattern By Masin chose woven dressmaking fabrics that are lightweight with great amount of drape such as viscose, tencel, ecovero, gauze, linen and linen blends, silk and cotton lawn.
The Daphne pattern was drafted for people with a height of 160 -170 cm / 5’2” – 5’6”. If you are in between sizes, we recommend sizing down as there is an elasticated panel at the back of the dress.
The Daphne Maxi Dress sewing pattern has different cup size options. You can choose your garment size and your cup size individually and then cut the size that is right for you. Because there is an elasticated back panel, one cup size will fit a range of bust sizes. Measure your bust and your under bust. The difference between the two numbers will tell which size is best suited for you. If
you are in between cup sizes, we recommend sizing down as there is an elasticated panel at the back of the dress.
Note: To save paper, the pattern does not include pieces for the front and back skirt (simple rectangles). Instructions are provided for drawing the pieces directly onto your fabric.
