Sewing pattern description
Cara top sewing pattern by The Modern Sewing co is a simple piece to make which means it’s a great project for beginners, however this doesn’t mean we cut corners on the construction quality. You’ll be using French seam construction along with careful 0.5cm double turns around the collar, armhole and hem.
This Cara top sewing pattern is drafted for a body height of 5’8″ and a cup size ‘C’.
This cut is designed for summer wearing so it works best in light weight fabrics. We recommend using light cottons such as poplins or muslins, linens, drapey tencel or soft silks. You can choose a fabric with a bit of drape or something that is more crisp, both will work just fine depending on the look you’re going for. Consider the breathability of the fabric you’re choosing as it’s a great piece for wearing in hot weather.
Recommended fabrics: Light cottons such as poplins or muslins, linens, drapey tencel or soft silks.
