TAUKO Magazine Issue No. 15 – Crafting Roots
In Issue No. 15, TAUKO delves into the origins of sewing, merging cherished memories with the boundless potential of contemporary tutorials and online learning. This summer edition features a collection of stunningly designed dresses, trousers, and shirts, each piece telling the story of its creator’s personal journey and the inspirations that first ignited their passion for sewing.
TAUKO Magazine is an award-winning independent publication, loved by home sewists worldwide. It brings together sewing patterns, thought-provoking articles, interviews, tips, and recommendations – all with a focus on craft, culture, and sustainability.
Inside Issue No. 15:
- 9 traceable sewing patterns from independent designers, complete with seam allowances
- A range of skill levels, making it perfect for beginners and seasoned sewists alike
- Inclusive sizing, covering bust measurements from 31” (78 cm) to 57.5” (146 cm)
This beautifully designed, 128-page collectable measures 275 mm x 215 mm and is printed in Estonia using a sturdy glue-and-stitch binding for durability. The magazine comes with four pull-out, double-sided sewing pattern sheets. Since the sewing patterns overlap, you’ll need to trace off the ones you want to use, but helpful images and colour-coded sections make it easy to find the pieces you need.
Designers in the issue 15:
Nicole Göttler, Tringa Osmani, Monica Patel, Laurie Stefanizzi, Cris Wood, Alexandra Vrolijk, Rumer Ajifu, Marcia Lois Riddington, Gowri Paary, and Jen Byrne.
