The Modern Sewing Co PDF Boatneck Top Sewing Pattern

The Boatneck Top sewing pattern by The Modern Sewing Co is a wardrobe basic that’s designed to be useful for all 12 months of the year.

It’s the perfect piece to comfortably layer under knits in winter or wear on it’s own in warmer months. The wide neckline gives an understated elegance to what is otherwise a very stripped back design which is nothing more than what it needs to be – simple,
comfortable and classic.

We’re confident that it will be a piece you’ll want to make multiple versions of to see you through the year.

Sewing pattern description

To make Boatneck Top sewing pattern by The Modern Sewing Co chose stretchy fabrics such as cotton, tencel or viscose jerseys with about 5-7% elastane.

Note, rib knits are not preferable for this style as it will stretch a lot at the neck and hem. We also recommend staying clear of silk jersey unless it has a good amount of stretch.
