Fabric description

Last remnant measuring 1.34m

Our organic cotton jersey fabric in Coffee Brown, with 7% added elastane, is ideal for sewing soft, comfortable t-shirts, underwear, vests, and children’s clothing.

This dark brown shade is a greater alternative to a black, if you want something that looks less harsh against your skin tone.

Our range of organic cotton fabrics, which includes matching tubular ribbing fabric, is sanforized – pre-washed during manufacturing. This is perfect for anyone who prefers to skip pre-washing or occasionally forgets to do it.

These eco-friendly cotton jerseys are GOTS certified, ensuring they’re produced with minimal chemicals and a smaller environmental footprint.

This single jersey fabric offers a 4-way stretch of about 30%, making it versatile and resilient for various projects.

Eco credentials

GOTS is our favourite eco credential because of its comprehensive approach to creating sustainable fabrics. It bans synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and GMOs, preventing harm to the environment. GOTS also promotes social welfare by ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and prohibiting slave and child labour. Your support for organic fabrics directly contributes to a healthier planet and social welfare.
Oeko-Tex 100 Standard is our minimum requirement for sustainable fabrics and haberdashery at Good Fabric Store. This certification ensures that any harmful chemicals are kept within safe limits, so you can sew with confidence. When you buy Oeko-Tex certified fabric, you can relax knowing your materials won’t bleed colours, your hands won’t turn blue, and your health is protected.
