2×1 ribbing is most commonly used for cuffs, neckband and waistband on hoodies and sweatpants. It is super stretchy, about 70-80%, which make it perfect for sewing turtlenecks or super fitted tops

Ribbing has these very pretty vertical ridges, so dont be afraid to use it as a main fabric, not just the trim. It is super stretchy, so perfect for patterns such as turtleneck or fitted tops
