Fabric description

Last remnant measuring 0.53m

Deep shade of aubergine tencel jersey fabric is breathable and has high absorbing properties making it great fabric for sewing underwear, base layers, t-shirt and most luxurious t-shirts.

Added Elastane makes the fabric super stretchy with great recovery, so no more saggy elbows and knees. Tencel jersey is over 70% 4 way stretch fabric.

This jersey is made from Modal fibers, derived from Beech Wood, so the fabric has botanical origin. This means that it is biodegradable and compostable, both at home and industrial condition.

Fabric facts & care

Eco credentials

Tencel fabrics are loved for their softness, lasting comfort, and gentle feel against the skin. With fantastic colour retention, your #memade outfits will stay vibrant and beautiful! Made from nature, Lyocell comes from eucalyptus wood pulp, while Modal is derived from beech wood. Plus, Tencel fibres are super absorbent—more than cotton—keeping you cool and dry. This makes Tencel the perfect choice for sewing base layers, underwear, and cosy pyjamas!
