This is one of our favourite free sewing patterns out there. It’s incredibly quick to whip up, has different options for a customised look, and – of course – doesn’t cost anything! There are three versions available in the pattern with sleeve/no sleeve options, different necklines, and varying lengths.
Viki Sews Milana Dress Free Sewing Pattern
This is an absolutely beautiful dress that’s perfect for special occasions. It’s so beautiful that we almost can’t believe it’s a free sewing pattern! A close fit, accentuated waist, and darts create a well-fitting form, whilst gorgeous flounces around the V-shaped neckline and hem of the dress add a floaty, girly look. Grasser Bias Cut Skirt
If you’re looking for an elegant skirt, we’ve got you covered – well, Grasser has! Their free sewing pattern is amazing, with all the instructions you need and a gorgeous design. The silk skirt is meant to be cut on the bias for a super flowy skirt with plenty of stretch, creating a relaxed, elegant look that we’re totally in love with. You’ll also find tutorials on their YouTube channel, helping you put the pattern together to create your own floaty masterpiece.
In The Folds Playsuit
Super cute, relaxed, and comfy, this playsuit is a wonderful garment to make. In a pinafore style, you can wear it on its own when the weather’s warm or layer it with a tight-fitting jumper and tights for a brilliant transitional piece between seasons. Two large front pockets make this a practical garment, too! Fill your pockets with all your essentials (or, more likely, loose change and old train tickets) and rock your playsuit all year long.

Who would say no to more undies in their drawer? Once you see these super cute Acacia knickers, you definitely won’t! Add it to your festival wardrobe or wear it on your next fishing trip: the bucket hat is a versatile item that’s become super trendy in recent years. From Merchant & Mills, it’s a super simple bucket hat that you can make your own by choosing different fabrics and switching between wide and narrow brims. It’s recommended for sewers at an intermediate level, so you’ll need some level of skill to nail this one.

Making your own bras is a fantastic way to get the measurements just right for great support and comfort.
