EcoVero

ecovero logo

EcoVero fabric, just like Tencel has been developed by Lenzing, a giant in the textile sustainability word.

First things first, what is EcoVero?

Well it is a viscose fabric, made from wood pulp. The key difference between EcoVero and traditional viscose is the significant reduced amount of water that is required for manufacturing of the fabric.

The second key difference is the source of the pulp. With traditional viscose there is no way of tracing from which forests the materials came and whether it was from endangered area. EcoVero pulp comes from renewable source, and by renewable we mean that when the trees are cut down, the new ones are planted. This process is managed by Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), a logo which you might see on books, stationary and now also fabrics.

Cherry on top, EcoVero is awarded an EU Ecolabel award which recognizes products that has significantly low negative impact on the environment. Go EcoVero!
