meet MILK was founded in 2018 and since then, the brand has grown to become a significant provider of responsibly manufactured dressmaking fabrics for both fabric shops and RTW brands all over the world.
Purpose
The overall purpose is to make more responsibly made fabrics available to more people, share knowledge and inspire to action, when it comes to making better choices as consumers. show that it is possible to always go further by reaching higher. By continuing to ask more. By not accepting less. By continuing search for better alternatives.
Design philosophy
Simple and uncomplicated are the core values of Meet Milk design philosophy. Main key to slow fashion down, is to make things that last longer – not only by their comfort and durability, but also by being simple, seasonless and with an uncomplicated touch of style. Meet Milk design their collections to go beyond ‘spur of the moment’ trends, and lean on the saying that ‘fashions fade, but style is eternal’.
Thoughts from the founder
Gandhi once said that “there is no beauty in the finest cloth if it makes hunger and unhappiness”. We need the fabrics around us to tell stories of happiness. Stories about the environmental impact of the whole production cycle, stories of the people who made it, stories of how it got here, stories of its potential, and stories of how it’s lifecycle will hopefully conclude.
