The Modern Sewing Co has been created by Hetty, in 2021 after the pandemic bought an unexpected pivot in her career. Hetty used to run a sustainable clothing brand called Henri based in Hackney where she also tough shirt making. The enthusiasm from people looking to sew their own clothes introduced her to the world of home sewing.
During the pandemic, Hetty started to focus more on online workshops and pattern making and in June 2021 she decided to go full throttle into this pivot and founded The Modern Sewing Co.
In a world of anonymous clothes Hetty loves helping others connect to their clothing more and building wardrobes from their kitchen tables.
